Perspective
23 Sep
I had every intention of writing a heartfelt and emotional entry about the pains of being single in ministry. However, now after reading this mornings “Streams in the desert” everything has been placed into it’s proper perspective. How easy it would be to wallow in self pity but no the Father has seen fit to remind me that we have all been called to a life of suffering and sacrifice with Christ (Phil. 3:10). It’s not a popular message and may not be preached too often but it is what it is.
So the pain and sorrow I felt lastnight and awakened with this morning has subsided and in it’s place a reminder that:
” I have been crucified with Christ
and I no longer live,
but Christ lives in me.
The life I live in the body,
I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 NIV
