My Resolve

1 Mar

The Lord gave me this poem in order to read it at an open mic tonight, but guess who chickened out?  So here it is.  “Lord, help me to stop hiding!”

My resolve is better than before.

No longer resisting God’s will for my life.

Merely existing, maintaining a state of mind that serves no purpose other than defeat.

My resolve has come through no easy task of my own.

But through many long nights filled with tears and many days of anguish.

A loss of hope and feelings of worthlessness.

It is in the deep, darkness of it all.

It is when failure comes after so many futile attempts.

My life.

I wanted it my way, but never-the-less has finally come.

Lord, not my will but thine be done!

I’m tired.

Tired of struggling, fighting a useless fight.

Why resist?

It is an answer that I do not have.

It is a question to longer ask.

Lord, my life is yours to use as you please.

In singleness or in marriage it is yours just you see.

This is my resolve.

Lord, I’m yours now.

What would you have me to do?

Seek my face, preach my word and speak what thus saith the Lord.

I have called you to be a light in a very dark place.

I have called you to be the one who walks a path that many dare not tread.

Wide is the gate that leads to destruction and narrow is the way of true life and riches.

The highway called holiness is for you.

The path of righteousness is where I place you.

Do not fear for indeed this is me.

Do not worry about their faces, they will see you in me.

My heart is the heart that you must seek.

And know this my child…

That your resolve has been heard on high.

Many blessings to you! He is what we live for…everything we have is HIS! Why hold back…when we give up our lives to Him-His plans begin to infold-His Will unravels…and we see beauty in everything-amazing times and hard times…He is always working in us for His glory! And we are to praise Him! And we can get glimpses of His workings sometimes…and how can we not praise Him? AMEN! I will take as many brain surgeries, domestic violence or heart ache for the Glory of our Lord!
Loved that poem! You have amazing words thru Him…He is working thru you! I love poetry! Please share with me! :)
