The Prayers of the Righteous…
26 Mar
For the past few months I’ve been in a constant state of flux. Having left one ministry after several years and not quite wanting to begin the prayerful search of looking for another. In truth I was feeling a bit resentful and unwilling to be bothered. A few days ago the Lord met and ministered to me from John 15:12-17 about loving one another. How easy it is to forget that commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.” There were two principles the Lord reminded me of:
- That I must be willing to love God’s people.
- “Do not allow the hurt that you’ve experienced to hinder you.”
What came from this experience was not only a willingness to forgive, but a poem entitled “wounded hearts.” I praise God for the gift and healing writing brings to my life. But I will admit that what surprised me the most was a friends response when I shared this testimony with her. She was more than thrilled because she’d been praying specifically for me in this area of my life. Something I was not aware of. I thank God for all of the “prayer warriors” but most of all for my friend Edith.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
