Wounded Hearts
26 Mar
My wounded heart has been wounded once again.
I carry it with me safely and securely tucked away so that I won’t be hurt again.
Family turmoil taught me much in the way of pain.
So why when I come to God’s people did it happen all over again?
I don’t understand, I used to have so much love to give.
Now everything’s all tucked away and constantly hid.
Now I’m all alone there’s no one around, but at least my heart is safely and securely placed from view.
I won’t be hurt again.
Not from…
Family
Friends
Men
And yes God’s people.
It won’t happen, no not again.
Wounded hearts.
We came for something different.
God is a loving God, they say, but why so much pain?
Wounded hearts leave much worse than they came.
So how Lord will I ever be at a place to where I can trust and minister to your people again?
How can you heal me from a lifetime filled with pain?
How can you teach me to be willing to EVER love again?
It takes many forms that others may not see.
Low self esteem is the most prevalent with me.
I’m not going to be hurt this you can be sure.
I’ve shut myself in but now it’s a task I no longer want to endure.
Angry eyes, bitter hearts and words that hurt.
I’m not talking about the world saints.
This is every week at church.
When Lord will you heal those who have been hurt?
What’s that you say?
I am the church!
I am that I am.
The great Jehovah no one else stands before thee.
I choose broken vessels.
I am the potter who puts each fragmented piece in place once more.
You see, my child, those who have been called to minister such a word must first become familiar with what my Son endured.
It was my chosen people who mocked and brought shame.
The same people He will once more return to again.
Stand up my child and be at peace.
Allow your heart to be mended and your wounds be released.
I have called you to such great a task as this.
To minister to my leaders and cause THEM to repent.
Stand up my child shake the dust from your feet.
And know this that He who has begun such a great work in you is faithful to complete.
